A coalition of individuals and institutions that are devoted to helping us live rich, full, attentive lives.

The inspiration

One afternoon I sat by my daughters bed waiting to wake her from a nap. Through the window I could see the sun setting on an apartment building turning the dark brick a brilliant red. All the world’s beauty was set in front of me. And yet I felt the strong urge to pick up my phone so that I could hit refresh on the nytimes.com so that I could look at headlines I would not click on.

We are not ok. We deserve better. We can’t do it alone.
